.2008 is just flying by.
Yarran families have enjoyed
3 family events so far this year
1. Amaze N play for the
different programs & a Dads & Kids only. Everyone had a
great time & a big thank you to all the staff at Amaze N Play
for making us feel so welcome.
All the children currently
enrolled in Yarran's programs have received a free children's book.
This was made possible by our wonderful friends at the Mingara Recreation
Club & Dymocks as part of their literacy foundation.
Yarran would like to thank
everyone that supported Yarran's raffles & garage sale
Our children have also
benefited from the Davistown RSL Bowling Club who raised over $3,000
for us to purchase sensory toys & equipment.Thank you so much.
Yarran was successful
with its CDSE grants for 2008 & we wish to thank the following
clubs for their support & ongoing committment to Yarran:
Diggers@ The Entrance
for a sensory swing for our Bateau Bay centre.
The Everglades Country
Club for a sensory swing at our East Gosford Centre.
Wyong Rugby Leagues Group
for funding to purchase sensory kits for the toy library.
Mingara Recreation Club
to develop & publish professional posters for our Playgroup
& Toy Library & for bags for our Toy Library members.
We would also like to
acknowledge the ongoing committment to Yarran by the Bellbird Committee.
There is no waiting list
for the playgroup & the Toy Library.
All families can access
these two programs & I would like to encourage all families
to visit both the toy library & the playgroup.
Programs
As
of 2009 families enrolled in our home based & centre based programs
will need to choose between these programs & any offer of any
program made to them by ASPECT,Dept of Education & Kids on the
Coast. This will enable Yarran to maximise its funding potential
& assist with its extensive waiting lists.
Families
may still access the toy library & playgroup regardless of what
agency & program they choose.
The
CEO is available to assist families make an informed decision about
programs they can access for their child
