Children need to have a written confirmation of their diagnosis of a disability or developmental delay by a paediatrician,child psychologist or Child & Family Health medical officer to access our Centre Based or Home based programs.

Waiting lists exist for both these programs.

Families may access the toy library & playgroup if their child has a delay on one or more areas of their development.

Formal diagnosis are not required for the Toy Library or Playgroup programs.

There is no waiting list for the Toy Library or Playgroup programs.

Families:
Families wanting to make referrals please phone Yarran on 43323981 or 43227011 to place the child's name on the waiting list for Home Based and Centre Based programs. A simple questionnaire will be completed over the phone and an information package posted to you.

If you are not sure if your child will benefit from a Yarran program please phone us to discuss your child's needs. If Yarran programs are unable to assist your child it may be possible to refer you to another professional or agency that can help.

The CEO will return your call to discuss your child's referral.

Professionals & Child Care Staff:
Please share information about Yarran with the family. As Yarran is a family centred Early Intervention Service the child's family need to contact us to place their child's name on our waiting list.

For Centres wanting to refer, it is important to discuss the referral with the child's family first. If you are uncertain about referring, please ring and discuss the situation without giving identifying information. The child and family are entitled to complete confidentiality.

If you are not sure if the child will benefit from a Yarran program you are still very welcome to call. If Yarran programs are unable to assist the child it may be possible to refer you to another professional or agency that can help.
